The Russian empire actually had quite good relations with the US around the time that we bought Alaska from them they even helped us during our Civil War sacrificing large parts of their historically, lack luster navy to protect our western coast, and supposedly even threatened war with the UK and France if they helped the confederacy. But other than that yeah you’re right

  49. Trump doesn’t even know how NATO works. You don’t pay to get protection from America this isn’t some mafia they spend their own money on their own defense. NATO is a alliance of cooperating militaries and those militaries have vowed to protect one another if one is attacked. same with the RIO pact it’s not just NATO same with ANZUS, South Korea, Japan and Thailand we have military alliances like this for over 50 countries, putting our nuclear umbrella above them. This is why we haven’t had nuclear war because those countries don’t have to make their own nuclear weapons for security, because the US would protect them with nukes, but they aren’t paying for that protection These are signed documents between national leaders for collective security against aggressive nations, such as Russia China, North Korea, and Iran
