I’d say you’re right that this basically sets a bad precedent and stuff like that but in this case I think it is a fair exception

@callmehkyle6609 jail and prison are completely different. Things jail is basically for temporary containment. Prison is where the actual sentence is held. He should’ve been in jail. The second he was arrested years ago and he should’ve stayed there until his trial and he should’ve stayed there until sentencing, but no, they gave him bail and he violated it multiple times but they did nothing

@lawodis well the original purpose of pardons is shown in most media basically, if you do something so good for the country that makes up for your crimes the president can officially declare such thing Edit: should’ve specified ONE OF the original purposes

0:37 that’s exactly the point And in this case I’d say it is defendable Joe said he wasn’t going to pardon Hunter but then Trump won If Kamala won he wouldn’t HAVE TO but as we all know every accusation, Trump makes is a confession on his part He said he was the victim of a witch hunt and Lawfare against him when it was actually him and his lackeys using lawfare against Hunter it was a republican judge appointed by Trump. Most people don’t even get convictions on those kind of charges. Trump has openly said he will prosecute political opponents and he IS OUT FOR BLOOD Trump wants Biden blood. He knows that if he can’t get Joe, then he will get Hunter. He couldn’t get Joe because you can’t prosecute a sitting president. he has also openly threatened “retribution” whatever that means he wants revenge for… Something You can see Biden didn’t want to have to resort to this, but when the opposition wants your son, basically dead, you would do the same thing

@mbell1216 a lot of people serve jail and prison sentences for far far far less than what Trump has done to say that you as an average person committed even one percent of Trump’s crimes you would probably be on the electric chair
