@paulaw9260 absolutely anyone that donated or voted for that matter for Harris should be given one because Trump has openly threatened to prosecute any of his political opponents anyone who he sees as “the enemy within“ which is basically all the Democratic Party and then some

@neeldani7450 Trump said he would prosecute his political opponents. He also said he would have the military go against people who he sees as “the enemy from within“ these pardons would prevent that from happening

I guess the only problem is that would mean pardons would no longer be a admission of guilt Not like that admission of guilt is worth anything though since they won’t get justice for the crime they admitted they were guilty of But by pardoning someone that hasn’t committed a crime, it gets rid of that however it does allow for protection against crazy people like Trump and his goons But at the same time, this will just make Trump not only want to prosecute his political opponents, but have them assassinated because if he can’t prosecuted them, then he will just go to the next best thing for eliminating them

@ rules have never stopped Trump before what makes you think they will now? Do you know how many people are falsely accused of crimes? It’s a lot of people but this time it would be intentional

The only problem with this would mean pardons are no longer a de facto admission of guilt but Trump also has broken plenty of norms so I guess it’s not really that big of a deal But I think these are necessary however, this will just make Trump resort to worst measures such as having us a political opponents assassinated because if he can’t prosecute them, he will definitely resort to worse measures.
