At age 19, while in his second year at the University of Oxford, Murray published Bosie: A Biography of Lord Alfred Douglas, which was described by Christopher Hitchens as "masterly". As a Gay man, Murray could be embedded with the IDF to report on the war. I doubt very much an openly gay man would be allowed to embed with Hamas, or any Islamic resistance group.
