Dixie fire in far, northeast of my State, smoke is an issue in some areas, but California population centers are far away, and the forest does not completely burn, and grows back denser, and more quickly than this report suggests. We had record snow fall in 2017 and 2019 which promoted large growth, fires are natural to the area, although Dixie was likely sparked by electrical transmission line. All the damage to buildings could have easily been avoided if proper mitigation had been in place. It's mostly a management issue.
