I'm a California Dem, this is a Stalinesque show trial by partisans who are about to lose control of both the House and Senate. I watched the Watergate Senate hearings as a teen, which were bi-partisan. Senators Sam Ervin and Howard Baker, opposite sides at the beginning, came together on Nixon over facts. There are no new "facts" allowed here, just rhetoric.

@arjaygee Russian collusion, the Steele Dossier, and that Hillary won in 2016. But more than that, the "big lie" is believing Trump is a clear and present danger to Democracy, and they must save us from ourselves. They attempted the "coup" by falsely impeaching a legally elected President. They represent the danger to Democracy, not Trump.

@jayc5373 I live in Long Beach, California, have since 1995, having moved from San Francisco where I had lived since 1986. My "nuqwestr" handle has been around for quite sometime, and easily doxed, you didn't try very hard.

I was born across the street from Disney Studios at St Jospeh's hospital in Burbank, both my parents were born in Boyle Heights, CA, and my step-mother was the California whip at the Democratic Convention in 1980. In 1975 Senator Fred Harris and his wife Ledonna stayed in my childhood bedroom while on the Presidential campaign trail. In 1969 a radical family friend gave me a commie red star, I wore it to Jr. High School, same school used in the movie "Karate Kid" as a high school. My roots in California go back over 100 years. I've been a Democrat since 1973, first time an 18-yo could vote, in 1974 I cast my first vote for Jerry Brown, something I now regret.

@arjaygee I registered as an 18-yo in 1973, Democrat ever since. The current leadership of the DNC are not "Democrats", I am.

@mdodge9223 I'm a California native since 1955j, both my parents were born in Boyle Heights, CA in 1923/4, almost 100 years ago. My grand-father drove a horse cart in downtown Los Angeles in 1912. Family has deep roots in California. My cousin Wendy even has a prominent street named after her in SoCal with an overpass at the 101 Freeway.

@arjaygee Nothing new, and there is still no connection to Trump and those who stormed the Capitol. We were told during the impeachment hearings there was a "smoking gun", none appeared, and there is nothing this time, either. Proof this was a poor tactic by the progressive left will be their loss of power in November.

@troygaines2193 Trump is a liar, a fraud, and an A-Hole, but not an insurrectionist. And even if he were, our system would have not allowed it. Considering the 5-year long "coup" against him by Hillary and the progressive Left, I consider his reaction mild. I believe AG Barr is correct, Trump failed to hire a legal team in advance of the 2020 election to push back legally against Dem tactics in certain states and districts. Trump only has himself to blame for the loss. This does not exonerate my party, they played dirtier than Nixon, Haldeman, and Mitchell ever did, including corrupting the FBI.

My congress took their eye off the "Russian Ball" to go after Trump for 4 years, and one of the reasons these committee leaders will loose majority in November.
