  1.  @STEP107  Really, my investor clients in America use the LIBOR to set adjusted interest rates on Real Estate loans, LIBOR is the LONDON INTERBANK OFFER RATE. London has been an international financial hub for a couple of centuries and still is, so is Hong Kong.

  3.  @johnnyj2066  I almost agree, it's been pretty even since the mid-1950s, the original statement by Don is off the mark. US/NY ekes forward since the Dollar is the global standard of value. The Pound no longer is.

  4.  @STEP107  You did not respond to my mention of LIBOR and the control it has over lending rates in America? What "global" financial institution is not both in NY and London? Are you talking about "headquarters"? Have you not heard of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization?

  5.  @STEP107  The US destroyed what it built after WW2 by going off the Gold standard, we have been in an era of Fiat Money ever since, currency floats, there is no "hub" as it was during the 1950s and The World Bank is currently located in Washington DC.
