BTW, I'm a jazz nerd, have met members of the Original Watts Poets and Gil-Scott Heron, who was WRONG, the "Revolution is being Televised". If you don't know the above reference, have the humility to change your handle.

  8.  @Dushan-o8w  Yes, but the ICJ has recognized the non-State of Palestine, so claims jurisdictions over State acts by Israel in the what ICJ considers the State of Palestine. I believe they would have to defend that status if the issue of Gaza ever came up in court. The PA lost control of Gaza in June 2007, so could not be considered part of the Palestine recognized by the court.

  9.  @Dushan-o8w  i agree, the ICC has jurisdiction over individuals. I don't agree the ICJ has jurisdiction over military action in Gaza, a non-State. In any case, if the issue ever does go to trial, Israel will mount a vigorous defense which would take decades, and even if they lost, the penalties would cause more harm than good.

  12. ICJ has recognized the non-State of Palestine and its elected body, the PA, but Gaza was taken over by Hamas in a 2007 coup, so may not be legally considered part of the state of Palestine. If any of this ever came to court, I don't think the ICJ could win.
