Population would have been larger except for ethnic cleansing by Muslims, something written in the Qur'an. Arab tribes warred against their Muslim brothers alongside Jews in WW1. The "land" was not theirs, anymore than the Hejaz belong to the Hashemites when the House of Saud took it. The region of Palestine was Ottoman/Turk. Why not give it back. Most of Gaza are Al-Masri, even Arafat was born in Egypt.

Jordan is a theocracy that limits the number of Christians in schools and government, and there are no Jews. That's real ethnic cleansing. Muslim law makes all non-Muslim subserviently under the law of Dhimmi, and why almost 50,000 Jews left Yemen for Israel in 1950 along with almost 1 million other Jews from Muslim countries in the region. Many population swaps post WW2. Why is this different.

  13.  @charlierennie9192  There's a difference between "racism" and equality under the law. There's racism in both the UK and the United States, that does not mean there is legal separation. Jordan has legal separation between Muslims and non-Muslims which restricts who can be in Government and Academia. The UK, USA and Israel do not have legal separation. The districts on the West Bank, A,B,C are still a war zone left over by the failed Oslo Accords . Gaza is a war zone because of the failed agreement between Hamas and the PA. Clean your own house before warring on others.

  23. There was no "seize" of land. Israel came into being as a vote of the UN. The Ottoman/Turk lost WW1 and gave up the region as part of a peace treaty. Most Israeli population, including 1.9 million Arab citizens, are from the region.

In 1948 seven Arab countries declared war on the new, legal, nation/state of Israel. They won in 1948, 1956, 1967, a draw in 1973 and attempted peace in 1999/2000 with Oslo. The Arabs have never negotiated in good faith, and said so in 1921, more than a quarter century before 1948 "Report on the State of Palestine presented to the Right Honourable Mr. Winston Churchill P.C., M.P. by the Executive Committee of the Third Arab Palestine Congress. Jerusalem, March 28, 1921."
