I've lived in this area since the late 1950s, this is not unprecedented, as I remember the early 1970s when fire raged almost 100 miles from the north/east all the way to Malibu beach and burned homes on the sand. We also had floods and an earthquake at that time. Stuff happens.

@ianhomerpura8937 I checked, it was the 1970 Clampitt/Wright fire, from Newhall to Malibu. We were in Woodland Hills and evacuated horses and goats from Hidden Hills. A few months later we had the Sylmar Earthquake.
