@Sam-bl8vj I live in Los Angeles Country, a few blocks from the Beach, it is paradise. This section of East LA pictured is less than a mile long. My parents were born there in the 1920s, it was a tough place then, my mother's uncle was a bootlegger in those days. You see what you want to see, but I live it, and you are incorrect.

A different perspective: "December 2021, Lincoln Heights home prices were up 7.4% compared to last year, selling for a median price of $730K." There are million dollar homes within sight of this railroad track which runs along the LA River, long known for criminal activity, this is not new "news".

@Sam-bl8vj "Skid Row", is more than 100 years old, but the demographics changed dramatically during and after World War 2. I'm familiar with the history of "The Nickel" and also the Tenderloin in San Francisco, a place I lived next to for 10 years. Jesus said, "The poor you will ALWAYS have with you." What do you expect "government" to do? Los Angeles County is almost 5,000 square miles with a population of over 10 million people, your expectations are extreme.

@Sam-bl8vj If you combine Los Angeles and Orange County, which are next to each other, you get a size and population larger than the country of Belgium. Just some perspective.

@solarsatan9000 I don't know about "cult", but no question, USA has been busy exporting fast food and bombs around the world. Just not the whole story, unless that's all you want to see.

@Sam-bl8vj Sorry, 5th and Main, Skid Row, is less than two miles from East LA and Lincoln Heights, you are talking about my personal history, paternal and maternal, which go back more than 100 years. Grand Central Market is at 3rd and Hill, in the heart of the new downtown, near high-end hotels and museums, two blocks from City Hall. Again, you are incorrect.

@Sam-bl8vj Also, the original "Skid Row" was in Seattle, WA. Refers to the skid used to slide logs down a hill to the port. Still a bad place there, too.

@Sam-bl8vj Look at a map, it's easy walking distance, but the "who" doing this can be seen on the streets along the tracks, which are lined with RVs used as homes, there are also tents etc., along the streets that parallel the tracks, you can even see them in the news converge pictures of the tracks. I live near the port of Long Beach/Los Angeles, and the containers are hit here, too. BBC does not do a very good job covering the USA, they used to, but not any more.
