  2. Accepting a pardon does not necessarily admit guilt. A pardon can be seen as an act of forgiveness and a way to restore certain rights, without the recipient having to confess to the crime. In essence, a pardon does not change the fact of the conviction but rather forgives the crime and removes the penalties associated with it. So, someone who accepts a pardon is not automatically admitting guilt.
