  4. We have massive flood control channels and catch basins, this was the 6th summer storm like this since 1992. The nanny state media wants you in fear and anxiety. Last winter our area got 10 inches of rain in one hour, a few inches in a day for summer is nothing to worry about. Mountain areas have engineered mud-debris chutes and channels built starting in the 1960s. You are being sold a lie.
