  3. "ice cores" show that, and what else do they show? They show the most rapid heating in history, evidence is clear. The ice cores also show that at this rate of increase in global warming, sea levels could rise 3 feet by 2100, enough time to adapt, but it is coming.

  4. You say "much higher levels", when was that, and what did the earth look like then? The variables in you model are not sufficient to predict something in 11 years, let alone 1,000. There is an oscillation to climate, but temps have spiked quicker in the last 50 years than anytime recorded, except perhaps the last time a massive amount of C02 was released by basaltic lava flows a couple hundred million years ago. We are doing it, and there's something we can do about it. The issue is really about who and what, not if we should. Maggie Thatcher, a pure conservative, was the first head of state to sound the alarm about greenhouse gases and global warming, too bad this issue has caused a split, it should be something we can all agree on.

  5.  @bobswarcrimes8432  Some of those 10,000 year Greenland graphs only go up to 1855, so are misleading. Make sure you look at one not pegged at "ZERO", but "TO DATE". The spike is there, it corelates to human action, and for those who think it's cosmic rays, the sun has been in stable oscillation over that time frame, it is us, no question. Now comes the "who" and "what" of getting it fixed.

  6. I'm in Southern California, we have one of the largest inter-urban railway systems in the world, and it is expanding, high speed rail is also being built in California, but it really does not fit us well, and other mitigation will serve us better.

  7.  @yanniritsarntyios5744  I hear you, they don't know the difference between: weather, climate change, and global warming, all have overlapping models, but address different actions in time and space. They're all a bunch of "hockey sticks", no pun intended.

  8.  @JoeBlowUK  Yeah, but it is, just as the La Nina / El Nino is local to the Pacific Ocean, and the North Atlantic Oscillation is local to that region.
