@SizzleCorndog As of the end of 2023, Israel's Muslim population was estimated to be 1,782,000, which is 18.1% of the country's total population. Show me the comparable in a Sharia state in the region.

@SizzleCorndog I made two posts, one with Muslim stats, the other with Israel as comparison. The early 20th Century was even less 1921 17.2% 1932 19.6% So, why the increase? Significant emigration to the West, including the family of Carlos Slim, now one of the richest men in the world. Another example would be the new son-in-law of Donald Trump, his father also a Christian who escaped Lebanon.

@eden5260 No, Ottoman/Turk ceded 67% of the region after WW1 in agreement with the Allied Powers. "Local Arabs" did own land in the British Mandate, so did Jews. Both Jews and Arabs fought with the Brits in WW1 to free the land from the Ottoman/Turk. The Jews were willing to share, the Arabs were not.

@davidtrowbridge3186 The "AahkeNAZIS" are not the majority population in Israel. The DNA is inconclusive, but the majority consensus of what you call "AahkeNAZIS" have Eastern Mediterranean origin. If that concerns you, don't check the DNA of the current King and Queen of Jordan, or many other leaders and populations in the Middle-East or North Africa.

@JorgeRzezak Jews fought with Brits to free "The Land" from the Turks in WW1. Arabs fought, too. Jews willing to share, Arabs were not. Fighting began in earnest in 1920. @JorgeRzezak Ottoman/Turk controlled 3 regions in the area, gave some political control to non-Turkish leaders which included Arabs and even Kurds. It was not a "state" was defined by convention starting in the 17th century with the Westphalian Agreements. Turks never signed on to it anyway.

@jamesjameson4303 No, that's false. Some had deeds and proved ownership. 170,000 Arabs stayed in the new state of Israel and became citizens. They now number 1.9 million, about 20% of the population.

@grapefruitsimmons 1947 UN Resolution that created a two-state solution was rejected by Arabs. Arabs committed the "Nakba", which started in 1947, not 1948.

@jamesjameson4303 I've spent more than 50 years on this issue, my distilled consensus view is the Jews fought with the Brits to free the land of Turks in WW1. Arabs fought, too, but did not want to share, and still don't. If you go to Muslim forums on the issue, many discredit the Arab/Muslims for fighting with Christians against their Muslim brothers the Turks. You only hear or read that in their siloed forums, then get Taqiyya comments like here on BBC.

@EBeb2025-eb Are you sure Medina was majority Jewish. No doubt, like Alexandria, Jews were prominent. Mohammed WAS the invention, and possibly an invention of Jews in the Negev, which is perfectly described in the Qur'an, and not like Medina at all.
