  1.  @C.D.J.Burton  Yes, the value of "cultural cohesion" can be authoritarian and fall into the fantasy of idealism, and why it should be framed within mitigating checks and balances, something aspired to by the writers of the American Constitution. Free Speech is one of those mitigating values.

  3.  @C.D.J.Burton  "Radical Moderate" is a JOKE, used it for years. I do my best not to join either side, seek primary sources, and walk a middle road where rocks are thrown from both sides. I never thought of it as an oxymoron, more like the process of aiming at a target using both left and right hand to apply offsetting pressure for increased stability and accuracy.

  8. Downey is Congressman Robert Garcia's district, who just honored RuPaul on the floor of Congress. Garcia is my former Mayor who spent over 1 million dollars of taxpayer money for his personal "coming out" district. We have intersectional crosswalks and soon will have statues and other LQBTQ+ symbolism on our street. all paid with taxpayer dollars.

My take away is Katherine's criticism of "Child Centered" learning, in the USA it's the Casel Framework of "Social Emotional Learning" (SEL) which is having the same deleterious affect on students. Her comments on cultural "cohesion" was also well stated.
