  1. In 1986 I attended San Francisco State University in California. In a writing class the abortion issue came up, I asked the question, "When does life begin", a female student burst into tears, apparently she had recently aborted. The professor asked me not to return to class, suggested self-study and guaranteed me an A in the course if I did not return. I had the same thing happen in a Social Science course when I made the case for nuclear power using new stats from Chernobyl and Three Mile Island. My favorite professor, an old man of Hellenistic studies, said he'd been totally shunned by the university and looked forward to retirement. It started back then here in California. The infection was and is contagious.

  2.  @da009999  China just went online with a molten salt reaction in the Gobi desert and plan to have dozens more by 2050. Corrosion and profitability seem to be a stumbling block for the West. When Confucius died, his disciples started a university for MBAs, future leaders of China, but they seemed to forget the core principle of Confucius: "attainment of skilled judgment rather than knowledge of rules." The different schools of "rules" went to war against each other in China. Seems we do this in regular cycles.

  3. "Harm Reduction" policies have produced an excess of harm. Here in California we are about to double down on "harm reduction" policies which will increase the number of homeless addicts on our streets. The post-Stalin Marxists like Herbert Marcuse laid out the strategy for this brand of framework destruction/revolution, and it is the universities, with our tax money, who have brought it to fruition. Is it too late?
