  1. American "progressivism" led to the 18th Amendment to the Constitution, Prohibition on Alcohol. What followed was criminal anarchy and saloons open to women, the exact opposite effect intended, something progressive legislation often brings forth. We are currently being "killed by the kindness of progressives", and it is the task of moderates to mitigate the contemporary expression of both extreme.
