  1. In Los Angeles, recently arrived refugees from Venezuela, have been hired as strike breakers in Los Angeles hotels. The unions claim to be in solidarity with the refugees, but at the same time are blocking their access to work. Very complicated stuff. I grew up in "progressive" California, saw first hand what Sowell described in his book, those who think anything is possible, and those who believe possibility requires limits. The limiting factor is the moment we all have between impulse and action. Children take time to grow this skill and self-knowledge, but the progressives promote the value staying childlike in the world, and to embrace your "inner-child". That policy has failed, and must be pushed back on.
