Okay, what happens when you open up 10 hydrants on a single line at the same time? Supply or Pressure issue? What do you think of EAVES VENTS that automatically close in high wind events or have baffles that don't allow embers in. What do you think of homeowners who grow thick and high privacy hedges? What happens if you denude entire hillsides of grass and shrubs in a flood prone area? No question we have a failed ideology in government, but that does not fully explain what happened in the Palisades, and I wish you have the sense of responsibility to speak to other factors in this catastrophe. 1972 I climbed hillsides in Malibu with a burlap sack collecting grass seed for the reseeding after the Topanga Fires of the early 1970s. All media is failing on this story for political reasons. SHAME.

FALSE - So much ignorance, even from McCarthy You can't clear the grass and shrubs from all those hillsides, that would erode into floods the next time it rains. There was plenty of water for the hydrants, but they are not designed to be opened up 20 at a time, you lose pressure. They are not designed to fight brush fires. Homeowners in these ranch style houses needed new tech EAVES and VENTS that automatically close during high wind events or have baffles that don't allow embers into crawlspaces. My neighbors in the Palisades like their thick shrubs and privacy hedges. That's a fact. I'm a resident of the area, went to UNI, my cousins went to PALI, family members in the evacuation zone in the Palisades. I've been through 3 major earthquakes and at least a dozen major fires since my mid-Century birth here. Don't lie for political advantage at this time, it will backfire, no pun intended.

@bright_horizon.1 ? what a disingenuous comment to make. Lockheed-Martin employees more than 1 million Americans, the money we give Israel comes back in purchases of weapons that support these American Jobs. Pray for Peace, Prepare for War. Better there than here. As of 2023, the *GDP of Israel* is approximately **$509.90 billion USD**. Israel's economy is diverse, with significant contributions from high-technology goods and services, pharmaceuticals, and diamond cutting.

@Monica_Escobar there was plenty of water, the hydrants are on the city system, there was no pressure, you can't open up 20 at a time and have pressure, especially at elevation. It was physics, not water.
