I'm from the area, majority not rich, and Altadena, CA is historically African American, they built that town. Your comment is grossly ignorant.

FALSE that area has no forests and the brush and scrub are required to keep the hillsides from eroding. We have fire breaks there, we all hike and bike them. We've known this was going to happen for 50 years, just like we know and earthquake will hit us again.

? no, vast majority were suburban planned development in the late 1950s early 1960s when LA had a population boom and need housing quick. My family were developers in that area. You don't know what you are talking about. A trailer park burned on PCH.

@klardfarkus3891 In 1972 I had a job holding a burlap bag on a hillside in Malibu collecting grass seeds for a burn scare reseeding in Topanga Canyon. I've lived this, and can remember the Bel-Air fire of 1961. The homes needed protection more than the hillsides needed grooming. There are new devices for eaves and vents that prevent embers from entering inside the dwelling. Most of these ranch style houses in the Palisades would not have burned if methods like that were used. We knew this was going to burn someday.

vast majority of Pacific Palisades built in 1950s early 1960s, and some are concrete reinforced but still burn.

Land value, not home value, and I have friends and family who have been there since the 1960s, retired, no way they are rich, nor are the people of Altadena.

no, and no

? Pacific Palisades has a total population of 24,000 in an LA County with 9 million. 1,000 structures burned. Not going to have impact.

That's 500 miles away in Northern California, nothing to do with this. Don't be ignorant

Pacific Palisades is a Jewish enclave, I know, I'm from the area next door, Brentwood. We send Israel money and don't expect anything in return other than they survive as a Jewish State.

no, and no. why are interest rates so high we can't afford to either sell or buy?

Los Angeles County is 5,000 square miles with a population of 9 million. Pacific Palisades is a small part of that with a population of 24,000. I'm from the area, went to UNI, my cousins went to PALI and many are still there under evacuation. I've posted the info for perspective, many watching don't know how big LA is.

what will follow are B-2s over Iran and Yemen

Altadena is a historically African American town that burned in this. Why the double-standard, why the ignorance of that fact.
1
yes, but property taxes can be deferred. Most of the value in the Pacific Palisades is land, not the structure.
1
Yes, like earthquakes, we've know this area would burn one day. It's my backyard, we hike and bike the Santa Monica Mountains which have plants evolved for fire and wind, we didn't.

"visitation"? same visitor as in Syria and Iran?
