I was there at the time, progressives felt cheated the impeachment was upended by the GOP and Ford became president, then pardoned Nixon. We were wrong, and so are you. Remember, too, Bill Clinton in 1992 only won with 43% of the popular vote, which we don't use, he won big in the Electoral College, just like Trump.
