Asked the Jordanians after the PLO assassinated their PM.

@IDK-gh4st Lots of Israelis in Iran pre-1979, my neighborhood in Los Angeles became a refuge for both. You don't mention Wahhabism? I'd also be curious on your take of the war between Ibn Saud and Sharif Hussein, the capture of The Hejaz before oil was discovered, and how are the Hashemites viewed for losing control of Jerusalem?

No, not at all, sounds just like TDS.

Israel is a sovereign nation/state. others do the same, so can only pay lip service to what you say. no genocide, not apartheid, no ethnic cleansing, that's all hold-over rhetoric from cold-war.

I'm in America, a Democrat in California, Israel is not an Apartheid state, that's cold-war propaganda now being used by both Islamists and Woke Marxists.

Naw, Saudis just gave Jared Kushner 2 Billion to invest, some of which in Israel. The PM of India just announced an economic corridor through parts of the Gulf through Israel to the West. There's a bigger game going on.

@randomlygeneratedname7171 Yes, Ibn Saud fought the "Royal Family" of Hashemites for the Hejaz just after WW1 and captured Mecca and Medina. The British gave Sharif Hussein and his son Abdullah Jerusalem as a consolation prize and they blew that, too, losing it to the Jews in 1967.

@Lucy-iy9ni "decision to annex"??? taqiyyah. I'm often reminded of the similarities between Marxist dialectic and Islamist doctrinal interpretation. If a fact is "inconvenient", it's either politically incorrect or theologically incorrect. Very similar mental process.

@Lucy-iy9ni The US State Department quotes an aide-mémoire dated 24 October 1917 given by the Arab Bureau to the American Diplomatic Agency in Cairo confirming that "...Britain, France and Russia agreed to recognize the Sherif as lawful independent ruler of the Hejaz and to use the title of "King of the Hejaz" when addressing him, and a note to this effect was handed to him on December 10, 1916

@Lucy-iy9ni "Hussein convened an Islamic Congress at Mecca in 1924, it comprised both Sunni and Shia Muslims and was thus arguably one of the most inclusive Islamic Congresses in history The Congress held twelve sessions before being indefinitely adjourned due to the advance of Saudi forces. His Caliphate only lasted for a few months, though because he was invaded and defeated quickly by Abdulaziz ibn Saud
