  6. Agree on DeSantis, listened to him talk about how he and his wife walked that precinct, he put a scooter in the back of his F150 pickup which she got around in while he covered other streets. I'm in California, came of age under Nixon, they are nothing alike, as the grumpy old man believes.

DeSantis is a Yale grad, Harvard Law degree, Navy JAG officer who served in combat zone, member of Congress who divested stocks (unlike Pelosi), and has turned Florida into a destination for rational beings fleeing crazy states like California. Don't conflate Trump with DeSantis, not the same thing.

  8. Nixon was not "setup", the Nixon tapes are real, raw, and reveal the real Nixon. He was a great man in his way, but no question he was not comfortable in the role of politician or being in any public facing role. That said, DeSantis is nothing like Nixon, Cockburn is nuts.

  12. DeSantis divested when he went into Congress, but yes, you can't win a national election in the US without lots of money, something we need to handle better. We have the separation of church and state, but we need to do better with the separation of capital and state.
