  1. Agreed, the USA dropped two A-Bombs on Japan and are now close economic and political allies. USA carpet bombed Vietnam, lost, now have normal diplomatic relations. Egypt and Jordan normalized, but this is not about a post-Westphalian Peace between nation/states. The Ottomans never signed on, and neither did Islamists. They only acknowledge a Carthaginian Peace style agreement.

  2. "Another Way" other than Jihad? These are Islamists, they have faith in their superiority. Here in the US we fear White Supremacists, but the Jihadis are no different. They even have a law to back up their superiority, DHIMMIS. This is not nation/state resistance, this is medieval barbarism, as predicted by both Churchill and T.E. Lawrence.
