  7.  @jamessheffield4173  I'm a big fan of Roger Williams, we both know he walked away and became an outcast in his own time. RI was a slave state. Rhode Island played a leading role in the transatlantic slave trade. Not only did Rhode Islanders have slaves—they had more per capita than any other New England state—but they also entered with gusto into the trade. OTOH, my tribe, Jews, were accepted in RI as early as 1658 History is complicated, just like human character and behavior.
