  1. The walk in San Francisco from the Federal Courthouse in the Civic Center to Union Square takes you through the heart of the Tenderloin, it was bad before Newsom. The "boarding up" has more to do with the tech takeover of SF, voter passage of Prop 47, and its status as a sanctuary city. The shuttering of Westfield on Market Street when the anchor store Nordstrom pulled out, and now the bankruptcy of Parc 55 Hotel, is the death nil for Downtown SF, to be sure. It's not just Newsom, California has become a one-party oligarchy run out of Silicon Valley. There is no debate, it's lock step, a new "woke" religion with its own Dogma which is counter to the Bill of Rights and the US Constitution.
