Regulations are already in place for the high fire severity zones. That's not an issue.

"Rebuild with Science" is correct. 2025 technology can build homes designed to withstand fire within the Fire Hazard Severity Zones (FHSZ) designated by the State of California. Insulated form poured concrete homes with fire resistant roofs and no vents can be built in the Palisades and habitable in a few months. Dave is pushing a political Woke/Right agenda.

Stone Canyon Reservoir was full and functional, serving the Palisades. 3.4 Billion Gallons. Altadena/Eaton fire not part of LADWP system. They are lying for political purpose. Woke/Right nonsense.

2:00 Dave, the Palisades, especially the houses that were destroyed, were built in the 1950s/60s, small middle-class houses around 1100 square feet, and were not fire hardened at all. Why do you do play Sonny Hostin's role on the Woke/Right?

Regulations already in Place, DAVE: Building in California's designated Fire Hazard Severity Zones (FHSZ) involves adhering to specific regulations to mitigate wildfire risks. Here are some key requirements: 1. **Defensible Space**: Property owners must maintain a defensible space of at least 100 feet from structures. This involves removing dead vegetation, trimming trees, and creating a buffer zone to slow the spread of fire. 2. **Building Materials**: Structures must be built with fire-resistant materials, such as non-combustible roofing, exterior walls, and windows. 3. **Access and Water Supply**: Adequate access for emergency vehicles and a reliable water supply for firefighting must be provided. 4. **Vegetation Management**: Regular maintenance of surrounding vegetation is required to reduce fuel for wildfires. 5. **Signage and Addressing**: Clear signage and proper addressing of buildings are necessary to ensure quick identification and access during emergencies. These regulations are part of the California Public Resources Code 4201-4204 and the California Code of Regulations Title 14, Section 1280.
