There are checks and balances which prevent "Mob Rule" or a pure democracy, and the system is more stable than the modern Parliamentary systems in Europe. Trump is closer to being an old style Liberal Democrat than what the current Democratic Party represents. which is an adherence to Marxist ideology and taking a knee to a globalist oligarchy like those in the WEF.
