  1. LA Times owner doesn't even read his own newspaper. I listened his full interview and he is ignorant of basic facts, like LA captured 96 billion gallons of stormwater runoff enough for 2.4 million homes for a year. The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power feeds both homes and hydrants, not something either the Mayor or LAFD directly oversees. The LADWP is run by a commission elected by the LA City council and the Mayor, but they do the work. Hydrants don't fight brush fires. I voted to recall Newsome and did not support Bass, but if you blame them you will not solve the base issue which is prevention. Palisades a time bomb ticking for 50 years .
