Trans-Jordan was created at the same time as Israel, about 10x larger in size. Jordan had to evict the PLO after they attempted a coup, killing the Jordanian PM. The state of Jordan restricts Christians in government and academia, and there are no Jews. Where would you rather live?

Show me the comparable in the region. Gaza was annexed by Egypt who declared war on Israel. The West Bank was annexed by Jordan who declared war on Israel. Actions in Gaza and the West Bank are defensive, and have been since 1948.

The Ottoman/Turk ceded the region as part of a peace treaty with the Allied Powers who created temporary administrative mandates in the region. The Jews were willing to share, the Arabs were not. @pauliunknown8118 Gaza, the West Bank and Golan Heights were taken when Egypt and Jordan declared war on Israel. The amount of land in all three cases is Infinitesimally small in comparison to the land of 22 Arab nations with 450 million people. It was Arafat's refusal in 1999/2000, and two intifadas, which prevented a two-state solution, not the settlers, who took advantage of the poor leadership of the PLO, who were later kicked out of Jordan after killing the Jordanian PM in a coup attempt. Israel left Gaza in 2005, on 14 June 2007 Hamas took over in a military coup, throwing Fatah/PA leaders off rooftops in Gaza City. Easy to factcheck. "Two-State Solution"? With whom?

Again, the Jews fought with the British in WW1 for the right to a nation/state. There were Jewish battalions in that war, just as there were Arabs fighting the Turk. The Arabs had no "state" there for over 500 years, and some might say they never had a state. The state of Jordan was created in 1946. Why the double standard?

? Nassar closed the straits of Tiran and moved troops into the Sinai. Israel begged Jordan not to attack, but they did. 1967 was an existential threat based on Nassar's Pan-Arab ideology. The "bluff" quote is out of context and a form of Islamic Taqiyya. It's how they roll.

The West Bank districts A, B, C are a direct result of Jordan's previous aggression toward the nation/state of Israel and the 2nd intifada. Some extremists Jews have taken advantage of this situation, and there are being dealt with. Again, Arabs have full citizenship in Israel, there is nothing comparable in the region for Jews. Apartheid?

The 3rd Arab/Palestine Congress was "consulted" at San Remo, so this quote is irrelevant. The "current" residents of the region included a Jewish majority in East Jerusalem and 8-12% Jews in other parts. Trans-Jordan was 95% of the Mandate, Jews got less than their representative population. Arabs did not want to share any of it. She was an American citizen with the right of free speech, something neither respected or codified in law by Arab states, but Israel has every kind of speech in its news, including a female, Muslim, Palestinian news caster on TV. Show me the comparable in the region. Begin and Shamir, 1948, Terrorist, or Resistance fighters. Your choice. I say both. Your Taqiyya is only possible in a frame of ignorance.

This conversation was mostly incoherent and poorly framed. I keep hoping for more from Bari and FP. This CBS conference call, and the recent edit of the 60 minutes interview with Kamala, should not be a laughing matter. It deserves a full court press, time to go to the mattresses on this stuff. I'll state my position again. Both Jews and Arabs fought for autonomy in the region with the British in WW1. The Jews were willing to share, the Arabs were not. The document is clear, with a warning if the British allowed a Jewish homeland to be created they would fight, even join with the enemies of England in the next war, which they indeed did. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem befriend Adolf Eichmann and spent WW2 in Nazi Germany, even helped create the 13th Waffen Mountain Division of the SS. If you want to get more granular into the various Arab intermural conflicts between the wars, we can. It's a shame they rarely enter debates like this. TE Lawrence was right. Israel is a fact. Time to move on. Disband UNRWA and its descent rule. As long as that stands, no two-state solution is possible. Funny, I live in California. Mexico controlled it for less than 30 years, the US for 175 years, there are still some in resistance to that fact. LOL

There are 1.9 million Arabs citizens of Israel, 20% of the population. What "transfer" are you speaking of? If the Nazis had taken Cairo in 1943, they would have set up extermination camps in the Sinai overseen by the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Husseini, a friend of both Eichmann and Himmler, and who had a handshake agreement with Hitler to do just that.
