  2. Jerusalem was majority Jewish from the 1880s until the 1920s when the British backed Amin al-Husseini as the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the pogroms to kill Jews. Israel is not a European colony, nor an Apartheid State, 20% of Israel's population is Arab, and many serve as elected members of the Government. This conflict has its antecedent in the battle between the House of Saud and the House of Hussein. It appears that conflict may very soon be resolved. T.E.
