Democracy was new to Germans, and many were still uncomfortable with a parliamentary/representative form of government. There are 50 individual states in our commonwealth, the level of authoritarianism, where everyone submits their individual rights to the State, is not in the American character. No, we are closer to another civil war than we are to submitting to State power and control. Trump is not Hitler, he's PT Barnum.

  7.  @erikawalker4694  Abortion is not a "right". Show me that "right" in the constitution. There's a difference between "law" and "rights". If you don't like a states laws, either move or change the law. If you want abortion to be a federal "right", make it so. Change the Constitution. Abortion is not settled law. I have no issue with abortion up to the scientifically sound definition of viability, which is now 21 weeks. As science evolves, that period will be reduced further, and with the development of artificial wombs, will mean viability at conception. "Viability" includes many interests, including DNA contributors and the State. In a civil society, a woman's "right" to choose is not an absolute. We all give up certain individual rights to be part of a civil framework. The country's framework aspires to a "more perfect union". It's not perfect.

The Woke Marxists in my State of California have turned it into a haven for crime and the homeless overflow on the streets. I lived in San Fransicko in the 1980/90s and now in Los Angeles County. California has written policy for K-12 which requires DEI indoctrination similar to the loyalty oaths of the 1950s here in America. The "Hitler" syndrome is coming from the Left, not the Right.

Authorities searched properties related to the magazine in four German states: Brandenburg, Hesse, Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt. The aim of the raid was to confiscate assets and evidence, the ministry said. The ban also applies to Compact's subsidiary Conspect Film, and prohibits any continuation of previous activities.
