  1. Opens with the music of Canned Heat over pictures of the Haight Ashbury in San Francisco. Canned Heat was a Los Angeles based band, born and raised there, and they played the Sunset Strip, not the Haight. Cognitive dissonance for me right off the bat. She mentions being "snowbound" but snow in Sacramento is extremely rare, the most snowfall measured in the downtown area in any 24-hour period was 3.5 inches on January 4-5, 1888. She says Manson made it all "inexplicable", but just before saying that, she describes a party at her Hollywood house where guest cars were stolen and drugs were found on the floor of her daughters room; then why suddenly inexplicable? Difficult to trust.
