  5.  @pk7ghalm23  Germans had a SCIENCE OF RACE written as the Nuremberg Laws of 1935. They had charts and diagrams of physical characteristics, the most important being Aryan. If a Jewish child had Aryan characteristics, they were taken away and given to German families. Even a devout Catholic, if they had one Jewish parent, would be taken away to the camps. "Holocaust" has one specific definition, Whoopi can't change that, regardless of her bias and ideology. It was all about RACE.

It was explicitly about race, as the German government defined it in the Nuremberg Laws, and then the Wannsee Conference of 1942. You should not rewrite history to conform to your ideology, that is wrong, and in this case, very sad.

What you think "Jewish" is does not matter, the German government wrote Nuremburg Laws which called "Jewish" a race which they had a "Final Solution" for, as evidenced by the Wannsee Conference of 1942. Whoopi knows these facts but choose to ignore them, they don't fit her ideology. Your comment is repeated by others, and shows that people will choose willful ignorance over truth, how sad.

  12. The Germans did not define it as a religion, it was a racial designation. Even if you were a devout Catholic but had Jewish parents you went to the camps. Don't rewrite history to conform to your ideology, that's just what Whoopi is doing. Read the Nuremberg Laws.
