We were warned of the winds, Southern California Edison sent out warnings, the city shut-down Topanga Canyon ahead of winds. Santa Monica Canyon and the Palisades have been a brush time bomb for over 50 years. Anyone who drove Temescal Canyon or Chautauqua knows that. The Getty Villa was prepared and survived.
