There was a stay, she is abiding by the stay and the appeal. All legal.

No, the petition was legally brought to the court, nothing unconstitutional about it. Anderson is Republican in the ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD case.
3
ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD. Sec. of State is Griswold. She made it clear today she agrees with the court ruling but will abide by SCOTUS action.
3
@stevejordan7275 Again, Republicans brought this petition, ANDERSON in Anderson vs Griswold is a Republican.
3
Colorado allows a citizen to petition to have a candidate removed, in this case, a Republican, ANDERSON, in ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD, has legal standing to bring the petition, 14th Amendment was used as precedent. 4 out of 3 Judges agreed. All legal. I think SCOTUS may not take this case and wait for the General.
2
@RazorStrap No, this is a primary to be a State candidate for Federal office. The lawsuit was Versus both the Sec of State and the GOP Central Committee of Colorado. I may be incorrect, and was wrong myself before looking deeper into this. The information is out there, it's not good to just use your own sense of what is right or wrong, not how the law works.
2
It was all legal, the petitioners, most Republican, no Democrats, have legal standing to bring the case and the Judges have to follow the law, and did.
2
@diegojines-us9pc California Gov Newsom against removal, but Lt Gov for it, it's a mess.
2
Judges followed Colorado law, ANDERSON in ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD has legal standing in Colorado, it was all legal.
2
Read the petition brought by Colorado Republicans in ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD, there is "cause", you can read it online. Sorry the media misinforms you, but the facts are available.
1
Not illegal, Colorado law allows a Republican to bring petition to disqualify a Republican candidate. ANDERSON in ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD is a Republican, and has legal standing, the Judges followed the law. All legal.
1
@csheets61 I've read the petition law in Colorado, for a Republican candidate, a Republican or unaffiliated "elector" can file a petition to challenge the qualification of a candidate. Anderson of ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD is a Republican and has legal standing. It's a State election, not a Federal election.
1
@csheets61 It's a State Ballot for a State Primary. General election different.
1
@csheets61 Colorado lower court ruled against it, but it won on appeal. How is that "illegal"?
1
@csheets61 You can speculate on the law, or read the law, which is more "delusional". Can you file a petition against Colorado? I don't know, do you?
1
@csheets61 No. Colorado law allows for citizens to challenge the qualifications of a candidate on their primary ballot. It's legal, and the petitioners are legally relevant. "Debate"? Read Colorado’s election laws. Specifically sections 1-1-113 and 1-4-1204. “Not every state has laws that allow citizens to bring a lawsuit challenging candidates,” said Mario Nicolais, one of the lawyers representing a group of Republican and unaffiliated voters who sued to block Trump from appearing on the March 5 Republican presidential primary ballot in Colorado. “And Colorado has a pretty unique system where we do have an expedited process.” - Colorado Sun Chief Justice of the Colorado Supreme Court, who dissented, argued the Colorado law was "too speedy", and that may be the basis for the SCOTUS appeal. I agree, it is too speedy and did not allow time for judgement or the accused to respond. However, there was nothing 'illegal' about it.
1
@csheets61 The plaintiffs in the Colorado case include Krista Kafer, a Republican activist and political commentator in Colorado; Norma Anderson, a Republican who was formerly the majority leader in the Colorado Senate; Michelle Priola, the wife of state Sen. Kevin Priola, who switched his party affiliation to Democratic from Republican in 2022; and Chris Castilian, former chief of staff for then-Gov. Bill Owens, a Republican. They are not irrelevant.
1
@csheets61 There was precedent shown in the petition, New Mexico ruling on 14th Amendment, and the court does have authority in Colorado law. Read the law, read the petition, ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD. There's an appeal process in the law, one that is playing out, nothing "illegal".
1
ANDERSON, a Republican, filed the petition known now as ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD. It is all legal.
1
GRISWOLD believes in the disqualification. Read today's statement by her. She's going to abide by SCOTUS, but if they refuse to hear the case by Jan 4th, Trump is off the ballot. Did you read the petition? It's online, ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD. All legal. BTW, Anderson, who brought the petition, is a REPUBLICAN.
1
This is a STATE BALLOT for the Primary on behalf of the STATE RNC, so it is not yet FEDERAL, the real case will be the GENERAL.
1
There was a stay, he was never off the Ballot. No charge or conviction required. Petition brought by Republicans in ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD, so there was legal standing and Court could rule on insurrection. Whether Colorado has standing in regard to Federal office like the President may be the issue, one which by Section Three would be decided not by the State, but both Houses of Congress with a 2/3rd majority. Nothing illegal about this process.
1
No, ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD was brought to the court by Republicans. Anderson is a Republican. Sorry the media misinforms you.
1
@stevejordan7275 ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD is available online, it lists those on the petition. The Colorado law to challenge a GOP candidate requires an "elector" in the GOP or unaffiliated be the complainant. Anderson is a well-known Colorado Republican.
1
@mitchhills4747 Trump asked to find real votes, not make them up
1
@KralTube2 No, doesn't work that way
1
@Veyron1967 Not sure they think they're "RHINO" and one was in the legislature, you can check the voting record. I don't assume.
1
@stevejordan7275 I've been a California Democrat since 1973 and don't see an issue with filing the petition, but did you read it? Calling Trump a White, Christian Nationalist is not correct, and it shows him "maybe" hugging the women who called for Pence to be killed. The petition itself was extreme, It's time for moderates to push back on both extremes. ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD is online as a PDF.
1
Republicans brought the case to court in ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD. Anderson is a Republican, required for legal standing, sorry if the media leaves you uninformed.
1
If SCOTUS refuses to hear it, Trump off the ballot. Griswold made that clear. I've read the petition and Colorado law allowing a Republican to bring it, don't see anything illegal. Anderson in ANDERSON vs GRISWOLD is a Republican. The 14th amendment is being used as precedent, but not necessary, the Judges by law can decide this case.
1
@diegojines-us9pc California will not keep him off the ballot and Maine also has a stay pending SCOTUS. It's a show.
