  1. "I Am Rosa Parks" shows an act of violence between two children, the mother comes out and threatens to put one of the children in prison for life. I'm not making this up, the author was interviewed on CBS Morning show telling the story and showing the pages from the book. I can understand why the school district would not want a book showing physical violence between children.

  2. Me too, so I researched the book, which depicts in words and pictures a violent act between two children and a mother threatening to send a child to prison for life. It is supposed to be a true story from Parks' childhood related to the author, but I can understand after seeing the book why a school district may not want 5 year old children reading a story where they answer is violence. FOX, again, does us a disservice.

NO, I read parts of the book, and it depicts a story from Parks' childhood where there is physical violence between two children, with pictures, and a threat by an adult of life in prison from one of the children, very scary stuff for a 5 year old. The lack of context was by both FOX and the author. We are all forced to fact check.

  10.  Something Something  Rosa Parks attempted a media event on the bus several times before it was picked up, and she became a focal point for the issue. She was part of a group of activists doing the same on the buses. 50 years ago I was only told in school she was a little old lady who just wanted a seat on bus, I was lied to, and schools still lie, as does the media, as do we all, to each other and ourselves, WHY?
