nothing intrinsically wrong with capitalism. in the US we have separation of church and state, we need to do the same with capital, mitigate its power in politics.

@priapulida Not completely captured, but agree, the "fascistic" like collusion between corporate media, tribal/ideological identity politics and educational bureaucracies is problematic, but not just coming from the left. It's based in a common human characteristic which requires mitigation and moderation, sometimes defined as "civilization". The Stoics and Epicureans had it right, but that wisdom has been lost to our new Dark Age.

@martinwoollett8468 I'm in California and live in its "woke theocracy" where you have to write a DEI statement to teach or get a job, confess the sin of false consciousness, and if you don't, you are cancelled by the woke inquisition and excommunicated. I've been a California Democrat since 1973 and pushing back against our one party system which demands fidelity or else, I'm even in fear of my own Condo HOA because it is so "woke" and authoritarian. Woke, CRT in K-12, ESG and DEI colluded to write a bible here in California, so very real.

Have to laugh at Bernie when I think of Karl Marx bemoaning the discovery of gold in California, something that changed the economic reality of the West in such a way it made his predictions in Das Kapital dead before he wrote them.

bernie is a joke senator from a small state, never authored or passed any substantial legislation and does little but collect a government paycheck.
