@almuhalab90 I thought Allah saved Jesus from the crucifiction? I am not religious, don't think either Moses or Muhammad were real, but metaphors for a framework of civilization. "Islam", peace through submission, is a common thread in all religions throughout recorded time. The Bedu were brought into that civilized framework by Jews in the Negev. I wish they'd been more successful.

@yashmin786 I do not speak or read Arabic, have been told if you do not read Arabic, you cannot understand the Qur'an. I've been told Islam means Peace through submission to G_d. "Submission" means different things to people. Is "Honor" and "Submission" the same word in Arabic?

@chicomodello911 Seems Allah also used for Greek G_ds in Arabic, G_d is a pre-Islamic, pre-Christian, even pre-Judaic word in the Semitic languages. It's does not refer to a specific deity or deities at all. Thanks.

@chicomodello911 I just did the work on the word allah and it's history of meaning as a word in the semitic languages. The word ilāh in Arabic has been used since before Islam was created. The al- was added to refer to the monotheistic religion of the Jews. al-ilāh, "The One G_d". the word Allah is used by non-Muslim, even non-Arabic people in different parts of the world, but still means one g_d, just not the same one g_d.

@chicomodello911 No. ʾelōhím is not the name of g_d, just a generic term for g_d, Jews do not use the name of g_d, and why some don't even write the word g_d. I'm not religious, just being alliterative. Allah means g_d, sure, but used by some for other than the Hebrew g_d of Abraham, a g_d appropriated by Arabs.

There's a group out of Nigeria who believe they are the only true Jews, something I think Candace also believes. Black Hebrew Israelites.
