I live in suburban Los Angeles, we have this level of chaos nightly, just a few days ago my neighbor had to shoot and kill a person with mental issues attacking homes at midnight and then attacking a woman, just yesterday a 14 year old boy was shot a few miles away by random gunfire coming through a wall in his home, my newsfeed has regular features like this daily in a 50 mile radius of where I live. I'm trying to understand the balance of threat. They tell me I'm statistically safe based on population size, which is true, but does not lessen the anxiety of sense of constant vigilance.

@snap4720 I've been in California since 1955, lived in SF 1980s/90s, started before Newsom, he is the result, not the cause.

@jordanpryor4771 He was not arrested, my city is a little more balanced when it comes to prosecutor, who I personally know, but my former Mayor is now my congressman, and he celebrated RuPaul on the floor of congress, that's his focus.
