The Ukraine did not use chemical weapons against its own people, Ukraine did not fight a 10-year war against its neighbor or invade and take over another country, Ukraine gave up nuclear weapons and did not seek to create new ones. To create a moral equivalence between IRAQ and UKRAINE is wrong. Ukraine is in the context of European conflicts with a 1,000 years of history and cannot be compared to the Near East, Jeff, relax, read a little Toynbe again.

@alexanderplatypus3664 I am "the public" and share with others distrust of the corporate propaganda machine with professional ties to the government, as evidence by polls. Most folks know they are being lied to, but it's exactly what they want, and apparently willing to pay for. In the 1970s I believed if "the public" only knew the truth they would make the correct decisions. I no longer believe that. "private media" comes from the bottom up, and what people really want. You have it backwards, as I used to. "Critical Thinking" is very expensive and can have bad outcomes, "the public" does not want to invest in something which may in the end bankrupt and hurt them and their families. Greenwald has reported on examples of this very fact.
