The US has a military industrial complex, something Eisenhower called, "imperative", and which you ignore. It's not about "Israel", never has been. Our tax dollars well spent in the defense of freedom around the world. If Nasser had not declared war on the Middle-East in his dream of being a Pan-Arab superpower, funded by the Soviets, Israel would not have been in the mix.

UN just reduced the number of women and children killed by 42%. That makes the ratio 1:1. In a modern urban war that is not something to be vilified for, it is in no way "collective punishment".
