Lumumba’s killers were Congolese, and occurred after he asked the Soviets to come in to put down a secessionist movement in the north, and we know how something like that worked out later, it's called Afghanistan. CIA plot using poison failed, and again, only set in motion after Lumumba reached out to the Soviets. In 1975, American Congress made political assassination illegal. We were never very good at it anyway, Castro lived to a ripe old age.

  3.  @africananecdotestv  Belgians have a lot to answer for, a couple of hundred years. CIA, not so much. Eisenhower didn't want a war with the Soviets, Castro just took over Cuba and East Germany was about to put up a wall against the West. It was a dangerous time, Patrice made some poor choices as a leader, the USSR was one of them.
