I'm a few hour drive from Death Valley, living at a Beach in Southern California, where we've had record cold this spring and early summer, something not being reported.

It's a 4 1/2 hour drive from Death Valley to Mammoth Lakes, CA where you can still ski since they had record snow. Drive Hwy 190 to Hwy 136 into Lone Pine, CA and you are at the base of the highest peak in the lower 48 states, Mt. Whitney, drive up Whitney Portal Road to the snow line, still there, in even less time.

"Climate Change" for me at the beach means temps around 74 degrees during the day this spring and summer, and I'm just a few hour drive from Death Valley, one of the features of living in SoCal, where there is still deep snow in view of Death Valley. We're in an El Nino "WEATHER" cycle.

I wish I could be shielded from the arrogance of the ignorant who seek valorization in condemning others. The "Climate Crisis" is a linguistic contagion designed to worm its way into your limbic system, and is apparently working quite well.

Yes, nihilism and cynicism is the answer to every human challenge. Thank you.

@emmmanueeel It's called "Death Valley" for a reason, even pre-Europeans moved with cyclical weather patterns of the area, and right now you can still ski in the mountains above Death Valley where there was record snow fall for 2022/23 season.

@geoffsimpkins7650 Sure, agreed, but we are having an impact with methane and CO2, issue is the error rate of long-term prediction and the current wave of hysteria on how to turn around what we're doing. Instead of rolling back civilization in a posture of fear, we should do the opposite, power through it by fast-tracking next gen nukes and install them in 3rd world areas to replace fossil fuels use there where it will do some future good. We need cheaper energy, not more expensive energy.

I'm in SoCal, same here, marine layer and cool temps, and I'm just a few hour drive from Death Valley. I doubt most here understand even pre-Europeans would move based on cycles of "climate change" in the area.
