@Dangic23 I lived in North Bay for 9 years, talk to your neighbors, that's the cycle in California, except for some areas in the far North West of the state, like where the Coastal Redwood live. The Sierra foothill grass also turns brown, but there was more than enough snow for the rivers to flow nicely, and you will have plenty of potable water. Now if you are a farmer in the Central Valley, different altogether. Complicated issue, many boxes to check off. Wait, someday Steelhead will run through the streets of your town like they often do in Petaluma. LMAO.

Brace yourself for another round of inflamed hyperbole by DW.

Actually, we had one in LA/Orange County a few weeks ago. I've lived here since 1955, and the only correlation I see is increased population, not climate change, which is real, but has less impact than human population in our Fire areas.

This is not really wood, it is grass, sage, and a brush known as Manzanitas . In a few years the area will be thick again, this cycle has been going on since before humans were in the area, even though this one was most likely started by a human.

@EricK-tb2dn Yes, indeed, thanks for pointing it out.

No trees there, it is all grass and brush, will be back thick in just a few seasons.

@Greenpoloboy3 Since before plants grew, oh, and what made plants possible. No fire, no plants.

@benjamindover4337 I am looking into enough rabbit holes already, thank you.

This is an ARSON fire and people have been arrested. I am a Californian, and have been since 1955, the real arsonist is DW who inflames the "Global Village" with this sort of hyperbole. BTW, in 1972, I picked grass seed off the hills now burning to reseed another area near Topanga burned the year before, a fire one of my best friends was blamed for starting, but did not. I am careful when reading news stories about Berlin, and you should also be careful when hearing about parts of the world you have little or no experience with. This video is bogus.

Relax, I live in the area, this is common, and mostly a grass/brush fire that quickly repairs itself, and has, since before humans populated the area.
