@ratdude010 I'm just learning, so you most likely know more than I do, the arms race is always both tech and economic. Russia is good at tech, but can never sustain the economic differential. Too bad we didn't go with Reagan's "Star Wars" when we had the chance, sorry, I was a Dem in those days.

@davidste60 I'm only now looking into it, the SM-6 is being modified to go hypersonic (Block 1B), looks like testing within a year. Russia also claims to have a new radar system that can detect a hypersonic weapon called "Rezonans-N".

@davidste60 I'm learning, thanks, a reliable "glide target" which acts like the real thing, makes sense. The GDP of the West can afford the cost, can't see how Russia can sustain it, with the GDP of only Italy or Spain. Hypersonic is not difficult, just expensive.

@VArsovski10 Newly modified US SM-6 will reach Mach10, it's called the Block 1B variation and designed to intercept hypersonics, there's new radar detectors, too. Russia claimed to have one April 2021.
