  2. The ICC is not "supported", they have members who signed on to a statute which does not obligate them in the manner you describe. The UN does not want UN forces on the ground. That's a non starter.

  5. "Proportionality" is not ratio based, but proportion to military necessity, or against collective punishment. There's still active fighting by the opposition, firing rockets into Israel, and another much larger force in Lebanon waiting to attack. Hamas was charged with Rape and Torture, Israel was not. All the charges, including "extermination", can be justified in court as military necessity. Hamas cannot defend Rape and Torture.

  15. Hamas is the "occupier", they staged a military coup on 14 June 2007. They are a terrorist group occupying land under PA administration. Israel is not defending itself from the PA, but the occupying power, HAMAS.

  27.  @irmaletson5805  Yes, I had to look at the full definition a few months ago and learn about the law and jurisdiction. I like the idea of a world meta-court, but we as humans are not there yet. Try the prompt on ChatGPT: ICC vs ICJ. It does a good job of breaking it down. While the ICJ accepted the PA request to be a member state, and was accepted even though it is not a state, the membership cannot include Gaza which the PA does not control. Hamas did not ask to be a member state, and they took over Gaza from the PA in 2007.
