I'm on the Coast of Southern California, coldest Spring/Summer on record here.

@zenster1097 The last week, yes, but Spring and Summer have been record cool, even rain in August, and the Sierras have already received snow. I live two-blocks from the beach, even last year was a record cool year, reported by the New York Times. "The official stats from NOAA have not yet been released, but notably, the immediate coast did NOT experience record heat this summer and was even locally cooler than the long-term average. " - Weather West Not a lie, I'm living it everyday.

@ghewins "The Summer of 2023 Was California’s Coolest in More Than a Decade" - New York Times. "Southern California had a cool spring in 2024, with some areas experiencing the coldest 30-day period in decades. ." - Bing AI overview "The official stats from NOAA have not yet been released, but notably, the immediate California coast did NOT experience record heat this summer and was even locally cooler than the long-term average. " - Weather West I'm two blocks from the beach, we've been socked in with marine layer since early April. I've not run my air conditional all day for the last two years. The last few days have been the hottest I've experienced in five years, and I ran my air in the afternoon, and even for an hour last night. I've been in this same location for 35 years. Not a "troll".

@DixonDixon65 I grew up in Woodland Hills in the 1960s/70s before Warner Center was built, it became a heat generating tarmac where they take the temp, just like they do at Long Beach Airport for temp, but I'm in Long Beach a block from the beach and always 10-15 degrees cooler than the airport.
