  2. I'm 69 and don't support the values I held as a teenager. LOL. Voting age should be raised to 25 when the brain is fully mature, especially the executive function of the prefrontal cortex (PFC). "Children should be seen and not heard" - Axiom worth bringing back.

  9.  @Matthew-rp3jf  Yes, just like old people who lose the right to drive a car. But no way to test for it. The difference is brain maturity is pretty uniform to the age of 25, while dementia is more of a variable, and there is new science which may prevent the onset of dementia. Really can't equate the two, but a good point.

  10.  @jeffmpvd7689  When I was 18 in the United States facing the Vietnam era draft, I thought so, too. I think a tiered system of voting age be implemented. 16 old enough to vote in municipal election, 18 in state or region, and 25 for national offices. It would be like an internship.

  12.  @valeok8357  I voted the first time at 19 in 1974 for Jerry Brown in California. It was a mistake. I was too young. I was the first generation to vote under 21. It was a bad move. Too late now.
